Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! For the first time since school started I gave myself permission to NOT work on any school stuff over the weekend. Well, with the exception of writing this blog, but at least I am spending a few minutes on school stuff rather than several hours. :-)

Please take the parking time into consideration and leave early. One other item I wanted to communicate to you. After the scholars perform we take the them out to the courtyard to be picked up by parents. The pick-up is a very stressful time for me because there is so many people and it is dark. Last Thursday Archway Trivium East hosted an information night for families who are interested in their child attending Great Hearts. After listening to speakers, parents were able to talk to grade level teachers. The parents that came to talk to us had some really good questions. Towards the end of the night one of the parents asked me how long I had been with Great Hearts and then asked why I chose to stay and keep teaching here. I think the parent was surprised and how easy it was for me to answer the question as well as how detailed I was with my answer. Part of my answer included how much I like watching my students as they learn. Everyday I am amazed at the things they can do!
