Oh my goodness! I have so much to write about. Sometimes the information just flows and is so easy to form into written words. Sometimes it stirs around in my head for awhile until I can figure out how to express the information.
I hope everyone had a fun weekend. Whether it be trick-or-treating or family gatherings, I am sure all of the students got all candied up. Between the information in the blog, the information in the e-mail that has this blog link, and the attachment, that is A LOT of information. Oh my! *big sigh with a smile* This has got to be the most exhausting, busy year of teaching I have had since my first year of teaching 23 years ago! I wanted you all to know that I truly truly appreciate those supportive e-mails that many of you have sent me. They make more of an impact on me than you could ever know. Thank you so so so so much!!!!! NAMING THE GOOD: - This weekend was wonderfully fun.! I got to see family, play games, and went kite flying. - I love Halloween, Thanksgiving is fun, but oh! Christmas is coming!!! - My students compliment each other so often! They are also learning how to identify virtues in others. For example, "He showed citizenship when he was quiet and let me finish my workbook page." or "She showed honesty when she found a pencil and gave it back to me instead of keeping it." Scholars recognizing virtues in others is such a beautiful thing to experience! Enjoy your week!

During those "much" times it is so important to recognize the good and celebrate. That is why I am combining my "On a Personal Note" blog topic with "Name the Good" topic. There is just always a lot to celebrate. - Yesterday was the 25th. That means just two months until Christmas! Yay! - It was cool enough to wear a sweater this morning. Yay! - Everyone looked so cute for pictures today. Yay! - Our class was scheduled to get pictures taken before P.E. and recess so they still looked handsome, cute, and totally adorable for pictures. Super Yay!! Have a good week. Yay! Hello to everyone. I have been composing this blog update in my head off and on all day. Now that I am actually sitting down to write it I shall see if I remember everything I wanted to include.
Parent / teacher conferences were wonderful. I enjoyed talking to everyone. Mrs. Garza made some great notes. This week I will be reviewing and completing any follow-up actions that may have been discussed. THE THIRD FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: My team and I have been joking about how we have not had just one "first day of school" this year. In fact, we have had several. There was the first day of school that was 100% online and the first day of school when scholars first returned to the classroom. We are experiencing another first day of school as we, once again, adjust to more students coming into the classroom and the changes in the distance learning platform. I feel like I can now say that I am a First-Day-of-School pro! REMINDERS ABOUT E-MAILS AND OTHER SCHOOL COMMUNICATION: E-mails: - Please be sure to include Mrs. Garza in all e-mail communications. I know there was more I wanted to write in here, but I can't remember. That is okay. This is a pretty long post anyway and that super important item must not have been that important or I wouldn't have forgotten it. I am sure as soon as I "officially" publish the post I will remember. Yay! It is second quarter. This is my favorite quarter of the school year. There are so many fun things going on, the weather is cooler, it is just fun! Over break I went kayaking for the first time and LOVED IT!!!!! I am looking forward to the next time I can rent a kayak and go again. NAME THE GOOD: Oh my goodness! I have such a sweet sweet class!!!!!!
